the kids had school in the morning. then it was lunchtime and nap. malloy was very tired after school because rex woke her up this morning. she had a handful of grapes and then went right to sleep. rex was exhausted because he got up too early, but he was already telling me at lunch that he wasn't going to nap. i said "oh, malloy went right to sleep. she can get a treat when she wakes up!" rex replies "yeah, but i'm not gonna get one. because i'm not gonna nap, i'm gonna play instead". i knew he needed to sleep, so i took his toys out of his room to see if he would go to sleep. and he did! so we didn't some rearranging of the toys and moved one of his toy shelves out into the living room.

safina and emery came over for a bit while katie had a dr. appt. malloy was so excited to see safina!!! they're growing up so fast!!! rex wanted so badly to play with them but they were playing tea party. rex got out his spiderman mask and said, "ok guys, i'm gonna get my spiderman costume on for the halloween party!" the girls shot him down and he was so bummed. poor bubba! we need to get him some boy friends!!! emery just wandered around bringing me toys from all over the house. she's such a sweetie!!! 

we started a new behavior chart today! both kids were excited about it. it's supposed to give them more responsibility for their own actions, we'll see how it goes!
