columbus day = no school= a nice long visit with uncle paddy! malloy had a great time putting "presents" in the pumpkin for him. she just kept bringing out tons of toys, one at a time. after uncle paddy left, we went to the dollar store to pick out some halloween sleep bucket prizes! then, since it's getting so chilly so quickly, we went to target to get some flannel sheets, slippers, and a lightweight jacket for rex. it was lunch time when we got there so rex got a hot dog, apples, and chocolate milk and malloy got a cinnamon soft pretzel and a strawberry smoothie. not the healthiest by any means, but they had fun having a picnic in the back of the shopping cart! they were very good and thought it was very cool that they could choose their own sheets. when we got home it was naptime! 

after nap, malloy we rearranged malloy's room a bit so that her bed wasn't against a window. we washed her new sheets and put them on her bed. we also put a new bumper under her sheets and took off her side rail. rex's bed is ordered and on it's way and i didn't want to buy another bed rail. i think she'll do fine with it! we also decorated her wall with her princess decals. there were a LOT of princesses, butterflies, and flowers!!! she loves it! 

we ate dinner, got our coats on and went for a walk. it was so cold that we could see our breath!!! we came back and had a nice warm bubble bath, had a snack and read books and then daddy got home! we brushed teeth, sangs songs and went to bed! we all sing together in the same room and then we do a family hug, family kiss, family high five and family pounds - we all put our fists in the center and yell "chapman HO!" and pump our fist in the air. the kids LOVE it and yell again every night. both kids went to bed without a peep!!!
