we had a fun playdate this morning! this was a new house for the kids and they loved it! what kid doesn't love new toys?! i hadn't seen rex in a while and when i went in the playroom to check on him, he was in there with two other boys playing with trucks! he was having a blast!! malloy had an accident while we were there and had to borrow some of her buddies clothes - we got underwear from bennett and pants from cj - and she talked about it for the rest of the day! hopefully she doesn't see it as a reward and start peeing everywhere we go!!
malloy has had such a sour attitude the past couple of days. she's yelling, grabbing, and sometimes hitting. i'm trying very hard to stay calm and explain to her that she needs to use nice words and share her toys. she knows that she needs to share and wants to be nice - there are times where she'll yell at rex if he gets too close to her toys and then a second later she'll tell him that it's ok and then give him a toy. i think she's just trying to figure things out and is so emotional that her first reaction is to yell to get her point across. i really try not to yell anymore - only if one of the kids is in danger. hopefully leading by example will help!!
uncle ryan came over this afternoon and played with the kids. then we all went to dinner at chili's. malloy has discovered chocolate milk! it's her special treat when we go out now :) she does great when we're at restaurants. except now she has to go check out the bathroom several times! rex loved eating his beans and rice with his hands!!!
malloy had another difficult time going to bed. as soon as we say goodnight she's yelling that she has to go potty - even though she JUST went! it's so frustrating!! make it stop!!
