we had a fun afternoon playdate and picnic dinner at the park! the kids had a great time!!! when we got back it was later than our usual bedtime. we had a quick bath and got ready for bed. when i was drying rex off, he kept saying "elmo, elmo, elmo..." i realized that he wanted to look at his elmo book that was on the chair. it's his favorite book of the moment! it's so nice that he's communicating more - much less fits! his other favorite thing to say is "no". he doesn't say it to be defiant yet, but if he does not want something, he'll simply say "no." i love it for the moment! no trouble and not a peep at bedtime tonight!! hooray! i told rex to sleep until 6:30 - we'll see if he listens :)
