we had a nice quiet father's day yesterday. the kids gave neal the birdhouse they painted for him at corbin's house last week. malloy was so excited to give it to him!  they also gave him something else they made, but i'll wait to post it until next week after all the grandpa's have gotten theirs - we wouldn't want to ruin the surprise!

today, we went to the gym and a quick trip to wegmans. when we got home, we painted with shaving cream outside. the kids had more fun painting their bodies than the tablecloth i put down. we were outside and in playclothes so no worries about the mess! neal came home for lunch - a very nice surprise! he helped hose the kids off so we could go in and have lunch. this afternoon, we cleaned up the house and then uncle ryan and grandpa gary came to visit for a bit. uncle ryan is moving back to binghamton so he came to say goodbye :(
rex has now picked up on malloy's "guess what? i love you" game. if you ask him "guess what?" he'll say "i love you!" it's very cute and malloy is thrilled that he plays it with her. she giggles when he answers before she can!
