saturday, we had a pretty quiet day at home and then went out to dinner with uncle ryan.

sunday, i was not feeling well (auntie andi's bachelorette party was the night before) so the kids spent ALL day with daddy! he took them to the park, they played with play-doh, cleaned the playroom, had dinner together, etc. they were both very excited to spend the day with him!! neal had to go to work for a little bit after the kids went to bed. except they didn't go to bed...they were up talking, malloy came out first to go potty. the second time, she came out and said "um, erin. rex wants you." little stinker!! thanks, but that's mommy to you dear! she came out again to go potty a few minutes later. i told her she needed to stay in her room and it was bedtime. i could then hear her padding around in the bedroom. i went in and told her that if i heard her out of bed again that i would have to give her a spanking. her reply was "ok, but will it be hard?" i told her yes and she said "well i don't want a spanking then" i told her i didn't want to give her one and shut the door before i started laughing. she's a pistol.

today, we went to a playdate at corbin's house. he has a very fun playset in his yard and the kids were having a blast swinging, climbing, and playing house. at one point, corbin was telling malloy "you can be the mom and i'll be the dad" and rex steps in "no i'll be the daddy, ok?" he's not even 2 and corbin is almost 4!! little mr. bossy! malloy was very proud of herself that she figured out how to climb the rock wall on the playset. after nap, we suited up and went out to the pool. it was a very hot day today!! swimming was so refreshing! after swimming, we painted with water on the sidewalk and then did a little sidewalk chalk coloring. uncle ryan came over for a bit to visit and help feed the kids dinner. neal got home and spent some time with the kids before bed. he was playing with malloy and he was pretending like he was going to tickle her. she said "stop you're making me nervous." she's such a riot!
