this morning, our friends, safina and emery, came over to play for a bit. malloy, rex, and safina played so well together! it's so nice that they can play on their own now!!

it was a beautiful day out, even though it rained a bit. we went out and played on the deck after dinner once the rain was mostly dried. the kids LOVE to be outside!! 

malloy's been waking up and coming out into the living room as soon as there's a gleam of light outside (which is now around 5:30) so we're trying a nightlight on a timer set for 6:30. we had a long talk about how the sun comes up but it's still night time and that now she needs to stay in bed and sleep until the nightlight turns on. we'll see how it goes!

malloy got her first highlights magazine in the mail today!! she was so excited! thank you, aunt liz!!!!
