ok, we're finally catching up from the weekend! house is clean, laundry is caught up, toys are put away (or at least all thrown into the playroom!! organization is on the agenda for tomorrow!)  time for a re-cap! 

thursday 4/5: 

malloy had an easter/birthday party at school today. i co-oped and brought in cupcakes. she is so funny to watch at school! the teachers call her the "class motivator." she is forever cheering on her classmates and encouraging them to do the right thing. rex stayed with katie while we were at school. when i went in to get him, he was wrestling with safina on the floor. he loves the ladota family - i'm so glad he feels comfortable enough to stay there and so grateful for great friends! 

we spend the rest of the day cleaning and packing. after nap they kids had a quick bath, dinner, and then we were on our way to grandma val and grandpa don's house! the kids did great on the way home, even though they didn't sleep at all! malloy played with lite brite for 2 hours - she put the pegs in every single hole and then took them all out. rex kind of just hung out and looked out the window. i was so surprised he didn't fall asleep!

friday 4/6 - HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY, MALLOY!!

we had a busy birthday day!!!! grandpa don made malloy the blueberry muffins that she requested for her birthday breakfast. then we went for a quick visit with grandma tappy. the kids were wiped and needed to nap! the nap didn't go so well, but they kids were great for the party! malloy had a great time! everything she opened, she'd say "this is just what i wanted!" she also said thank you after she opened each card.

now that malloy's three, i'm starting a tradition called 20 Birthday Questions - i'll ask her the same questions on her birthday each year. here are the questions and answers at age 3:

we dyed easter eggs quick in the morning with grandma val and then went for a visit with great grandma jean and great grandpa don. it was a nice visit and the kids had a great time! malloy told me that she liked it there. after nap, it was time for another party! it's so nice to have so many loving family members!! malloy had a great time - she loves seeing her family and talked about it for days after!

monday 4/9

tuesday 4/10

we didn't do much - it was a day to clean, do laundry, organize toys and get groceries!

wednesday 4/11

malloy had her 3 year doctor appointment today. she did great! it was the first time that she had the blood pressure cuff - so exciting! she did have to get one shot (i told her that she didn't need any shots - woops!) but she was a trooper! no tears or anything!  when we got home, we did an art project and then uncle paddy came to visit! while the kids were sleeping, a special package from auntie elaine arrived! both kids got sticker books and malloy got a few fantastic books! we had a great time playing with stickers before dinner!

 thursday 4/12

we went to the science museum in the morning with kari and bella! the kids had a great time! they were so excited to be hanging out with bella (and kari!). after nap, bella came back over to play some more. the kids were so funny! malloy and bella spent a lot of time getting ready to put on a show. they came out when they were all ready and sang us some songs all dressed up!  we went to don patron for some yummy mexican food and then everyone came back to our house for a bit more dancing before bedtime!

friday 4/13

we went to the zoo with kari and bella! the kids had so much fun! bella and mallloy napped (rex opted not to nap! boo!) and then played all afternoon. they played so nicely in the bedroom and playroom for quite a long time. we made a quick trip to wegmans and then the kids played on the deck with neal while i got dinner ready. we had a nice family dinner and the kids went right to bed!
