December part 2

we went out to chinese buffet to celebrate grandma val's birthday, then we headed over to roro and papa's for cake and ice cream! yum! 

papa was whispering messages in rex's ear and then he was passing them on to everyone else.

 malloy made a nice card for grandma val. it says: my grandma likes: red, cake, jingles, presents, shhopping, and me!

rex sang christmas songs with his class at school for morning meeting. very cute!!

 we went to a christmas festival in newark valley. we had some food, got some face paint, checked out some cool gingerbread houses, saw the grinch, drank some cocoa and ate some pie!

rex had a gymnastics show - he was so confident and comfortable. it was nice to see his independence!!

malloy's letter to santa: "what i want for christmas. a lego friends tree house and a christmas set if you can make some." 

rex is starting to "read" simple books! he's doing great!

we went to dinner and then the discover center with grandpa don and grandma val. we had a great time! then the kids took a turn for the worse and just had some ungrateful attitudes. we had a nice long chat about it and they changed their tune the next day!

 we all went to roberson tonight with grandma val and grandpa don. it was a private event through grandpa's work. there was a lot to see! we looked at the different christmas trees, checked out the huge model train set, went to a planetarium show, got our picture taken, got some gifts at the gift shop (rex got some "little real things" - fossils and teeth - and some magnets. malloy got a make your own mermaid kit and some magnets.), and then we had some pizza and cookies. such a fun night!

neal got up with the kids in the morning and worked with malloy on her mermaid kit. she loves it!!

while i made christmas cookies, daddy played spaceship with the kids. he even made them a special space lunch!

papa was going to play santa at a party so we went to visit him while he was all dressed up. he makes the BEST santa!

the kids worked so hard filling their little treat bags for their classmates writing their names on all of them.

malloy made her teacher, mrs. woods. a book for christmas. she loved it and read it to the entire class as soon as she opened it!

we had a great night at aunt cathy and uncle joe's. the kids got to color and draw with new crayons and colored pencils that aunt cathy bought them. it was such a fun surprise! we also had some yummy food! malloy LOVES shrimp and even learned to peel it herself!  when we got home, we sprinkled reindeer food, put out cookies for santa and carrots for the reindeer and went to bed!

we woke up and had christmas morning at grandpa gary's. santa was very good to the kids! malloy got a microphone and a monster high design lab. rex got a lot of ninja turtle guys. grandpa gary got them some legos - ninja turtles for rex and rapunzel for malloy.

rex was very excited about the juggle bubbles that malloy got him.

then we went to grandma val and grandpa don's for some more christmas! they got stretchkins, fort building sets,  and some games.

after grandma val's we went to roro and papa's to celebrate with family. these kids sure are lucky to have so many people that love them!!
after roro and papa's we headed back to grandpa gary's to have dinner with uncle ryan, aunt kari, bella, and aunt norma.

we spent the day after christmas playing with christmas toys!! rex got malloy a baking set so we made some treats, played with some hex bugs and played with malloy's new goldie blox game. she loves it!!

december 29th, 2014 we closed on our new home!!! we finally have a house again!!!

new year's eve - the kids decided that they wanted to dress alike today. they were twins and said everything the same and did everything the same all morning.

we went over to grandma val's and grandpa don's to celebrate the new year. we had some yummy dinner, played some games and read the year's memories. the kids spent the night and a few days with grandma and grandpa while neal and i went to buffalo to move all of our furniture down!
