my big girl! 

helping shovel before school! 

 this month and last have been full of boogers and coughs!!! malloy has been sent home from school twice with a fever. it was time to go back to the dr!!! rex had a doube ear infection and malloy had an ear infection! back on antibiotics for rex and now some antibiotics for malloy!!!

 grandma val and grandpa don came down to help hang stuff in the kids room - they turned out great! thanks for the help grandma and grandpa!!!

 i asked rex if he'd like to make some valentines for the grandparents. he replies "you got the wrong guy. have malloy make the crafts". he keeps me on my toes! later, we found a craft that he was willing to participate in. marshmallow shooters!! he only wanted to shoot them directly into his mouth.

2 hr delay = playing many games before school! we've had plenty of 2 hr delays this month!!! rex has barely gone to school!! malloy had her valentine's day party at school today! it was so cute!

goober! it was FREEZING out and she gets in the van and takes her coat off! 

 malloy misses her buffalo friends!! she made them these valentines at school. i think she was copying conversation hearts! :)

valentine's day! the kids got some new cups, socks and candy!  we had a valentine pizza lunch with grandma val and grandpa don and roro and papa and they got more toys and treats! rex was not into valentine's day at all. he would roll his eyes and say "why is everyone always talking about love?! i don't like love!" such a boy!!! he didn't complain about the treats!

 malloy and i had an afternoon full of beauty on a sunday afternoon. she beautified me for sure!!! and i got to do some super fun nails on her!

wednesday february 18th - malloy had her tonsils and adenoids out today. she was ready for it and excited because she could have popsicles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! she was such a trooper - we explained to her that she wouldn't be able to eat anything before her surgery. she only said she was hungry twice and her surgery didn't end up being until 12:30ish! we played uno and a drawing game and the she was given meds to relax her. they worked! she told us that they don't need to give her anything to make her sleep for surgery because she was all ready to sleep!  the worst was when she came out of anesthesia. she was crying and wanted to go home and had an awful cough because of the breathing tube :( she said that getting her tonsils out wasn't a very good idea and that it was the worst day ever and that she's never doing this again. poor pumpkin!!! once she was feeling a bit better we got to go home!! time to recover!

this little boy has my emotions! he is a sweetie one moment and then is enraged for some reason and then back to being sweet. the other morning we were singing "on top of spaghetti" and when it was over, rex started bawling. he said that song makes him sad.  he cried for a bit and then it was over and back to normal! then this morning, we were watching home videos and he started crying because those make him sad. he never did like to watch videos of him or malloy when they're younger!

we've moved up to 150 piece puzzles! gotta keep her still and calm for most of the day. that's hard for a 5 yr old!!! i'm glad she's feeling well and wants to jump around but she needs to not rip her tonsils!! crazy kid!

we had grandpa don and grandpa gary over for dinner tonight (grandma's staying warm in florida!!). we had dinner and the kids played games with them. it was a fun family night (until rex lost it completely and had to go to bed!!! yikes!!!)
