July 4th-July20th

Happy 4th of July! we had a super fun party with family!!! uncle ryan. aunt kari, bella, addy, aunt cathy, uncle joe. jesse, grandma val and grandpa don, grandpa gary and melissa and matt all came over to help celebrate! aunt cathy made fun props for us to play with and take pictures, we had flag cake, flag brownies, and ice cream sundae bar and of course, fireworks!!!! such a great time!!!

i had the kids make balloon swatters. malloy wanted hers to look like a banjo!! 

one day, we read bartholomew and the oobleck and then made oobleck to play with. it was messy and fun!!

we LOVE the pool this summer!!!!! the kids are in it for hours a day and sleep very well!!!! 

We took Roro and Papa lunch one day and sat with Roro while Papa went to the store. she's recovering from shoulder surgery and still needs some help. malloy does a great job watching the time and telling Roro when to take her medicine and when to do her exercises.

we went to the tioga county fair with grandpa gary, uncle ryan, aunt kari, bella, and addy. we had some food, rode some rides and then watched the demolition derby!!! rex loved it, malloy thought it was ok, but she'd rather be riding the rides! so after the derby, we rode more rides and played more games. it was a long night but we had a blast!

we got some crafts to keep busy. malloy LOVES washi tape! 

we got to stay up late and go to grandma's in our pjs one night! they thought it was super fun to go out late! (and to watch shows we don't have)

 we rode bikes to the school to sign up for summer rec and to play for a bit. it was HOT but it was a successful first bike ride with just one parent!

 we celebrated our 8th anniversary with a steak dinner and fancy drinks. it was a perfect dinner with our kiddos!! when we told malloy is was our 8th anniversary she quickly asked, with her hands on her hips, "why am i not 8?!" she is too quick!!!

 the kids were drawing on their boogie boards. rex would draw one part and malloy would draw the other part. it was super cute to see them working together!! love these kids!

 neal's cousins from seattle, molly and maddie, were in town so we had them over for a day to swim! they were great with our kids and had a blast!!!! it was afternoon full of swimming and high school musical soundtracks!

we went to grandpa don's work picnic. it got off to a rocky start. rex got carsick so we had to pull over so he could throw up :( but after that he felt great after and was ready to bounce and eat!!! he had a cheeseburger and then ice cream, cotton candy, and  slushies. and then more bouncing!

 malloy and i pulled out her summer math work from school and we played a game. always good to keep that math fresh!!

 after the company picnic, we had dinner and then rode bikes to the depot to say hi to grandpa gary, melissa, grandpa don, and grandma val. the kids had MORE dessert there!

 malloy got to stay up later because she napped on the way home from the picnic. we played salon with grandma val. malloy did her nails, hair, and make-up. she was so happy to get some special time!! she did my hair, too. she made us sign in to a book with our name, address, phone number and what style we'd like. she's such a little adult. she also sat in her rocking chair and read to grandma while she laid on malloy's bed. so cute!

we had a Malloy family bbq - the cousins had a blast in the pool!!! it was a HOT day!!

rex and i joined summer rec - they had a candy hunt, played on the playground and played hot potato with water balloons!!

we had a goodbye dinner for molly and maddie at nick's and then went to grandma and grandpa malloy's old house for some cupcakes and ice cream, then some running around the house time! it's so nice to have so much cousin time!!!!
