sunday: we visited daddy's office for a bit in the afternoon. that was the highlight of the day!! 

tuesday: bowling playdate! the kids had fun. it was still hard for rex to wait his turn to bowl, but he did great overall!

auntie elaine sent us a bubble thing! it's been a bit too windy to get it to work, but malloy had a blast swinging it all over the place making tiny bubbles! 

it was a long day and i needed a break, so in came daddy to the rescue! he started an art project

wednesday: the refrigerator repairman came today. it was a very exciting ordeal. rex was super curious about what was going on. it was cute. they watched some daniel tiger on the couch to stay out of the way. then we headed out to the park. the kids have been at each other a lot lately - bickering, yelling, crying, whining. we needed to get out! after they played on the playground for a bit, they chased birds. rex would get close and then they'd fly away. after a few attempts, he got very angry and just started crying when the birds flew away. but he kept trying, so i watched him chase the birds, the birds fly away, and rex drop to the ground sobbing, then get back up and try again for a while. it was hilarious to me - i needed a good laugh! despite our active morning, rex still did not nap!!! stinker!! malloy did nap but didn't go to bed until after 10pm!!! i think the problem was that we let her play games on the computer for a while before bed. later, i was reading an article that says to never let them watch tv or play video games before bed. it's too stimulating. WOOPS! we won't be doing that again!
