it's been a busy couple of days!!! 

tuesday 6/25: we decided to take a trip down to erdle farm to pick some strawberries and visit aunt sue! the kids had a great time! rex didn't really enjoy the berry picking part, but he loved running around the farm, helping aunt sue feed the chickens, running through the blueberry bushes, and feeding the dog. we took home a TON of strawberries!!! we went out to king and i for dinner with uncle ryan, kari, and bella. the kids were great - i'm so proud of them for being adventurous eaters!! then it was home for some strawberry shortcake - YUM! 

then it was bedtime! bella got to sleep over! the girls were so excited!! they got out of bed a few times during the first 5 minutes, but then they went to sleep. they should have - it was 10:30!! 

 
wednesday 6/26: the girls slept the whole night through, woke up and played in their room for a while. once everyone was up, we used some of our strawberries and made some strawberry waffle sticks. we headed out to the mall for a bit and ended up meeting uncle ryan there for lunch. we went to bravo - they gave each of the kids a little piece of pizza dough to play with while the food was being prepared. when we were done eating, they brought out their pieces of dough with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar on them! it was a fun surprise! malloy's eyes were bugging out of her head when she saw it and she asked "why did they do that?!" uncle ryan took the kids back to the house while the mommy's shopped alone for a bit. then it was time to go swimming!!! we swam and then played on the playground for a bit, came back and had some taco salads and strawberry slushies for dinner. bella slept over again!! they went right to bed without a peep!

today, the kids slept in a little bit later. they played all morning but were all starting to get on each other's nerves. i think spending a lot of time together and not getting enough sleep was starting to be a dangerous combo!! kari, ryan, and bella left around lunch time for the day/night. we'll see them again tomorrow!
both kids took a much needed nap and then we did some tie dying before the gym.
we came home and neal had gotten a pizza for dinner! after dinner, the kids watched star wars with neal for a bit and then it was off to bed! here's to a good night's sleep!!!

another fun hot summer day!  we went to the gym, came back and visited with uncle paddy for a while. then aunt kari and bella showed up!!! we went to the pool to cool off! we came home, uncle ryan came over and then we all went to dinner and out for ice cream! the kids were WIPED out and malloy was a crying whining mess before bed. they passed out quickly!!!

the kids had a get time today! it was another HOT but beautiful day! we went to a birthday party for our friend, morgan. the kids had a blast playing in the basement, bedrooms, living room, outside, where ever they wanted!!! it was great!!! they had some pinata fun, cake and ice cream, and sat so nicely watching morgan open her presents!! 

after the party, we came home for a bit, then headed out to island park to go swimming with safina and emery!!! it was a great swim! malloy was teaching herself to swim underwater and even rex was putting his head under!!! they're water babies!!

6/22: it was another beautiful day!!! the kids went outside and collected some bugs for their bug jars and then inspected them, shook them, banged on them, and shook them some more. sorry bugs!!! next up was a treasure hunt! i drew up some treasure maps and then hid candy all over our yard. they had a blast!! after lunch, we played on the slip and slide and the tarp for a bit. then it was off to the park with daddy for a bit. we had some yummy pizza for dinner and then it was bedtime!!!
