saturday 5/11: we traveled to grandma val and grandpa don's house last night. the kids got up and played with their new garage sale toys from grandma!! malloy also got a birthday present from aunt lori and uncle morgan - it was a cupcake game. we played all morning and then went to sammy and rachel's house for a communion party for rachel. malloy had a blast playing with bella and rachel. rex loved playing with all of sammy's robots and guys! next, it was off to roro and papa hank's house for a mother's day party. the kids love playing with all of the toys that roro has at her house!! malloy was SO excited to see sam!! she was asking all day when he was going to get there. she was giggling and running away every time he'd look at her. she was pulling him off the couch and jumping on him. so cute.

sunday 5/12: malloy woke up saying her belly hurt and then started throwing up. she continued to do so ALL day long in between sleeping most of the day. poor little pumpkin. she was such a trooper. she'd say things like: "this is not fun at all" and "i'm sorry i'm so sick". sweetie. she'd try really hard to get up and be social but 10 or 15 minutes later, she would say "my belly feels like i need to go back to sleep".
while malloy was in bed all day, rex played outside with me, went to the store with grandma val and me and got a toy, watched whatever shows he wanted. he was having a great time! but at bedtime, they weren't sleeping in the same room (neal and i each bunked up with a kid), and rex went in and said "bye bye i love you" and tried to give her a hug and kiss. it was so sweet!!!!

today: malloy woke up and said "mommy i feel better!" she had water, gatorade, ginger ale and oyster crackers. we packed up and said goodbye to grandma val (grandpa had already left for work) and went over to give grandma tappy her mother's day gift! malloy was exhausted and ready to sleep before we even got there so we weren't able to stay too long. malloy was sad to be in the car and just wanted to go back to grandma val's to sleep in her bed. she said our house was too far away. she fell asleep pretty quickly but only slept for an hour or so. when she woke up she asked 'how much longer' and said she just wanted to be in her own bed to sleep a lot. she didn't cry, she was just so pitiful. we made it home and lounged on the couch watching movies all afternoon. malloy was begging to go to bed at 6pm and fell right asleep! let's keep our finger crossed that rex sleeps through the night and wakes up unscathed!
