cayuga nature center field trip!

maloy was SO excited to have daddy chaperone her field trip to the cayuga nature center!!! they had a blast catching crayfish, climbing the tree house, and learning about animals!

spirit week, family time, and such

rex arranged all his guys so that they were discovering the sun for the first time. this kid definitely has an artistic flair

we have a bunny friend who hangs out by/in the garage. his name is bob. he won't eat the carrots we leave him.

 friday night, grandma val and i took malloy out on a shopping excursion. she ended up getting a bunch of clothes out of the deal!!! she was very excited about staying up late but also very worried that daddy was going to go on a bike ride without her.

 friday was school spirit day and grandparent's day! (malloy's teacher posted these,  i don't have any of rex, grandma does!)

grandpa gary had knee replacement surgery and is recovering at the nursing home. we went for a visit to play games and hang out for a bit.

malloy wanted to read to grandpa before we left. 

 the kids were starving when we left grandpa's so we stopped at friendly's on the way home for dinner. malloy was in a reading mood - it was the first day that i've seen her read more than just at night!!!

i put rex to bed and he was back in my room in about 2 minutes. he helped sort laundry instead of going to bed - stinker!!

after tball, we went to visit grandpa again. malloy wanted to beat him in checkers but she was a little distracted by spongebob on the tv. 

after grandpa's we went to roro and papa's for pizza. we stayed and watched the preakness and had rootbeer floats - malloy had chips and then said in a very sweet voice, "i feel like i need something sweet". i asked like what and she said with a sweet smile "like a rootbeer float."

mother's day!

another great mother's day in the books! i woke to two excited kids bouncing up and down excited to shower me with their presents they made at school. they also gathered beautiful flowers outside with daddy and put them in a pot! so cute!!! i love my family:) 

we had a mother's day brunch with roro and papa and the whole clan! apparently i didn't take any pictures!? it was great to spend the day with family!! 

 malloy was begging to play dress up and wear make-up, so we did that when everyone left. this girl is gonna be trouble!!!
