malloy's first day of nursery schoo!

malloy was so excited to go to school this morning!!! when we were getting out of the van to go to school, she said, "i don't need to be shy." she went right in the classroom and was led down the apple path to the sink to wash her hands. she learned a new hand-washing song :) then she went off to play in the kitchen area. i gave her a kiss good-bye and she turned right back around and continued playing! when i came to get her she ran over to me just beaming! her smile was from ear to ear!!! mrs. messina said she did great and asked if malloy had ever been in any other kind of program. she was impressed with how easily malloy transitioned from on activity to the next!! so proud of her!!! when i asked her about her day she told me that:  they took a little walk to the play room and played in a castle. she sang itsy bitsy spider. and mrs. messina read a spot book. i'm so glad she can tell me what she's doing!!! can't wait to hear all about her school adventures!!!

yesterday was back to reality and a busy day!!!! we went to wegmans, played at our friend safina's for a bit, napped, and went to the gym. all while i did laundry, dishes, cleaned the refrigerator, and tidied up the house! the kids were awesome and took everything in stride (aside from a minor meltdown when leaving the gym - malloy did NOT want to leave!!!)

we're finally back home in buffalo!! the ride up was pretty painless. we have a nice visit with uncle ryan and kari and the kids went to bed early. malloy's already been up crying 3 times - tonight's not going to be fun :(

we said good-bye to the beach this morning. the dolphins even came out to send their farewell! we made it back to grandma tappy and grandpa gary's - the kids did NOT want to be back in the van, but they were pretty good. we got to use another mommy and me bathroom - we love them!! malloy was in the backseat reading her Huggly's Snow Day book. neal and i hear her say "a ball? is that what you were going to say? yeah, said booter, that's what he was going to say". she waquoting some of the lines directly, using "asked, said, cried shouted..." the other line she kept saying was "the people world is gone!" SO CUTE! we had dinner and a nice visit with both grandparents tonight. tomorrow it's back home to buffalo!

we had a great last day of vacation!! in the morning we went to a playground. malloy is such a daredevil!! rex was tired and rode around on neal's shoulders most of the time. after nap we went to a little fountain area for the kids to run around in. we played there for quite a while. all 3 kids had a great time!

this morning was full of boardwalk fun! we took a stroll up and down the boardwalk and then got some food. it was the first time rex rode on neal's shoulders - he loved it! we got some burgers, dogs, and chicken fingers for lunch and finished off with a nutella and strawberry crepe! soooo yummy!! after nap, we headed out for a walk on the beach. malloy helped me fly a kite and then we walked up and down the beach holding hands the whole way. at one point i stumbled a little and said "i almost fell down" and malloy replied "don't fall down. i got you." she melts my heart sometimes!!! rex had a long ride on neal's shoulders again and basically just curled his body around his head. he was singing "da da da da da da" in his ear the entire time, stopping only to snack on neal's ear ;) when the kids went to bed, neal and i got to go out to dinner for some delicious blue crab!!! yum!

malloy LOVES taking baths in the big tub in our bathroom at the beach house!!
