7/18: we had a morning full of painting! it was nice and relaxing and so much fun to watch little creative minds at work! 

we went to wkids and rex got a sticker. he wore it on his head the rest of the afternoon! 

my beautiful wildflowers that i got from malloy on mother's day have bloomed!!! 

7/19: trying to spend some one on one time with the kids as much as i can these days! we've been super busy fixing the house up and getting it ready to sell. malloy and rex have been pretty good about it but have been watching way too much tv lately to keep themselves entertained. malloy and i played a LONG game of memory before bed but it was great to smile and laugh with her. it was much needed! 

7/20:

watching tv on their perches! rex fell off after a few minutes and the fun was over! 

i was making a to-do list for rex's upcoming birthday party and he decided he wanted to write his wish list. :) i think this is the first time he sat down and asked me how to spell words and wrote them out!! 

7/22: our realtor came took pictures of the house today so we can finally put it on the market!! the kids were fanstastic!!! the games on the tablet and phone had a large part in that! i can definitely see how easy it would be to give them the tablet all the time in order to keep them quiet! i needed to go to wegmans and they were being really good so i let them finish the games at the store. i didn't hear a peep from either kid!!!!  they hadn't played with the tablet since the south carolina trip! it was kind of great! BUT they need to learn how to be normal social human beings so we'll be putting the games away for a bit! 

we went out for ice cream after dinner because the kids were such great listeners while the realtor was here! 

7/23: we were reunited with the wolfangers after 2 weeks or so!!! the kids were so happy to play together!!! we made some yummy pretzels for a snack in between playing monster, dress up ("fashion!"), games, and watching tv. 

 7/24: we packed up our swim suits, buckets and shovels, and some lunch and headed to olcott beach for the day! what a great day!!! singing frozen and laurie berkner at the top of their lungs, riding rides, winning prizes, playing at the beach, the splash pad, and the playground - can it get any better??

rex got strapped in and then panicked! he got off and just the girls instead.

malloy loves riding her big girl bike! she's been asking for weeks to try it out and we finally got around to adding air in the tires and putting the training wheels on. she rode it around the basement last night for a bit  and was ready to ride out in the open! she did great! rex had his bike out, too, but he can't ride it yet without looking at his feet. he doesn't yet have control of steering the handlebars or sitting up straight. so he thought it was just as fun to run around behind her! we played at the park a little bit after riding bikes. 

while sleeping at grandma and grandpa's last weekend, malloy accidentally swallowed this stone she had hidden under her pillow at bedtime. since then, i've had the glorious task of searching her poop for the past 5 days. today was the day it came out! hallelujah! so glad that she's ok and that it's out!

science day!

the kids were busy today! they started out playing with play doh for a while. i got out eyes, pegs, pipe cleaners, and foam sticks and let them create away! 

 they played outside for a bit and came back in to make some bouncy balls!

 then we set up a science lab. they loved pouring and squeezing and mixing!! this was a long activity!!! it got a little messy but they were loving it!!
