last few weeks of june.

crazy hair day at school!

pool time! 

we spent a super fun day at branches today! the kids went on the zipline, played in the sand, swam in the lake, swam in the pool, did some crafts, at some lunch, ate some dinner, and played a little bit more! it was a great day!

 last day of school!!!! 

gianna and kenadee came over to play for the afternoon. it ended up being a nail painting party - sorry rex! 

last day of gymnastics! malloy shared her popsicle she got with rex - love when they're kind to each other! 

spent the day at the museum! 

 it was a HOT saturday, the kids ended up haning out at gianna and kenadee's while i went to look for a bathing suit. we decided to have a cookout and sleepover there!!! the kids we super excited to hang out with friends all day and to sleep in their camper!!! so lucky to have awesome friends!!!

we went to safina's birthday party on sunday. it was a palace pet party - malloy was thrilled to get a new pet as a favor! it was a HOT day and malloy got a little sick from running around and not drinking enough. we didn't leave on a good note :(

monday morning, i drove the kids to dansville to meet grandma val and grandpa don and go home with them to stay over for a few days! they did amazing and had a great time!! lots of swimming, family time with roro and papa, even a playdate to meet some new friends! i'm proud of my big kids!!!

6/14: malloy was so super excited that it was FINALLY her gymnastics show day! she did great!!

thursday 6/12: we ran around doing errands today. the kids were troopers - it didn't hurt that they got to pick up some crafts at michael's! i think their favorite place was home depot. they were so excited that there were kitchens and washers and dryers and refrigerators! they also loved the aisle with the the lights. it's amazing to see the world and experience things through their eyes!

 friday 6/13: malloy had donuts with dad  at school to celebrate father's day.

both kids napped! wooohooo! that hasn't happened in a long time! then we did some painting while we waited for grandpa don and grandma val to come visit.

saturday 6/14: we went to the farmer's market with grandma, ate lots of goodies, and did some crafts. then we headed to michael's and did more crafts! the kids napped (well, malloy did) and i made a strawberry rhubarb pie for the daddy's for father's day! mmmmmmm! we went out to dinner with grandma and grandpa after the guys were done painting, then came back for some pie and ice cream!! 

sunday 6/15: happy father's day! we hung out with grandma and grandpa for a bit and then had malloy's gymnastics show! we went out for ice cream and then the kids played while neal and i painted the house some more.

saturday 6/7: the kids played and watched tv while neal and i painted all day!! they're pretty good about keeping busy. hopefully we can get this housework done soon so they get some attention again!!! 

sunday 6/8: we went to gianna and kenadee's for a bbq. rex swam in the rain for a bit, malloy was in and out b/c it was chilly. they had a great time running around and being loud while the adults ate outside in semi-quiet! 

monday 6/9: we started back at the gym today! woohoo! that was the big outing of the day. i rearranged and cleaned rex's room, so he was happy to play in his "new room" for quite a while. malloy kept herself busy in her room, too while i painted the living room and stairway.

 tuesday 6/10: i brought rex to the gym this morning while malloy was still at school. he lost it and was sobbing because he didn't want to be left alone. he got over it quickly - it's been way too long since we were at the gym regularly!!! when malloy got home, we went to gianna and kenadee's for a swim playdate! they had a blast!

malloy played beauty salon with me this afternoon. she did my hair and nails and then gave me a foot bath and washed my feet. she takes her role very seriously, i love it! she was so proud to show me off to daddy when he got home from work! 

rex colored this at wkids today. he told the lady that he was going to be an artist when he grew up. he spends so much time carefully coloring every inch! it's the only time he's still!!!

we got to have dinner as a family tonight!!  it's pretty rare these days with the kids' early bedtime and neal's late hours. it was nice to sit and chat with everyone!!!

friday 6/6/14

we took a trip to the library and hung out for a while - picking out movies and books. we stayed and read all of the books we picked out. it was nice to have a change of scenery. the kids were asking to go to wkids, so we headed there and i managed to stretch my shopping trip out a bit so that they could play. we had a nice afternoon of outside play - sprinklers, palace pets, sidewalk chalk. then it was dinner and a movie. malloy's new favorite is annie. it's definitely one i can stand to watch repeatedly!!!
