wednesday 7/3: it was drive to grandma and grandpa's day!!!! we stopped at mcdonald's and got happy meals before we got on the highway. the kids were so excited (mcdonald's is a very rare treat!) and double excited when they got minions!! they did great on the ride!!! they ate their lunch, played with their minions, slept, then colored until we got to grandma's!! they played at grandma's for a while, then we went swimming at aunt amy's house. the kids had a blast!! after swimming, aunt amy and and kassie came over to eat dinner with us. aunt amy brought some new books over and the kids had story time with her! 

thursday 7/4: happy fourth of july!  the kids started their day with special star shaped donuts with red, white, and blue sprinkles that grandpa don got them. how can you not love that?! the kids played a game with grandma and grandpa, we got dressed and then played outside - swinging with grandpa and then went on a flag hunt! we went to visit grandpa gary and grandma tappy for a bit, then went to aunt amy's for a picnic! rex was being grumpy and didn't want to take to anyone. then uncle tom came in and rex said "carry me over there" and was all smiles. in the pool, he was swimming and said, "take me to my favorite guy!" (meaning tom) the kids were a little afraid of dewey (the dog) at first but they were loving him by the time we left! we took a nap at about 5pm so that we could stay up for fireworks! we headed over to roro and papa's for pizza. their neighbors have young kids and were having a party so we went over to play for a bit before sparklers and fireworks. rex LOVED the sparklers! malloy had fun with them but really wanted to see the fireworks. we had a pretty good view of the fireworks from roro and papa's deck! we went home LATE and went to bed!!

saturday 6/29: we went out to breakfast with uncle ryan, aunt kari, and bella, then said our goodbyes. uncle ryan went to the airport  and was on his way to kuwait for 2 months! we can't wait until you're back, uncle ryan!!! the kids went to glen park and met up with neal's friend and his kids. they had a blast climbing on rocks and watching the ducks. malloy came back with a huge scratch on her leg from falling on the rocks!! she's a tough cookie and was fine!

sunday 6/30: we hung out at home in the morning. the big outing was a mommy and malloy trip to target while rex napped!

monday 7/1: not a great start to july! i had a terrible cold and was dizzy and achy. we did a lot of lounging and tv watching. uncle paddy came over to visit for a bit to give the kids some much needed attention!! daddy came home early so that i could go to bed!!!

tuesday 7/2:

we went bowling in the morning. i love watching how excited rex gets when he rolls the ball! he rolls it, then does a little celebration dance. it's great! 

malloy had a last minute photoshoot with katie in the evening. we went with katie and safina to tifft nature park. the girls were so cute together and had so much fun running through the hills! when we were done, we got some late night ice cream and then headed to bed!!!

recap: friday 6/28: we went in to visit neal at work for lunch. it's such a fun treat for the kids!!! we took naps and then did some painting with bella! we hung out with uncle ryan, aunt kari, and bella all night! the kids were up LATE and were dancing their tushes off!!
