rex LOVES his sticker books right now. this particular time, he had gotten up at 4am and was a basket case while playing with the stickers. i really just wanted to get him saying "thank youm" on camera!! i love it!

we had a pretty good day today! no major meltdowns - which is a first in a while! malloy listened and was cooperative for most of the day. i think we're working better together. we're using the happy jar again and it's working out very well! when she listens the first time, she gets a stone for her jar. when she asks for something nicely without being told to, she gets a stone. once the jar fills up, she gets to pick a toy out of the prize bag. it's a nice way to encourage her good behavior without constantly nagging her to "be good".

we went to our friends, gianna and kenadee's today to play. malloy was SO excited to hear that gianna was having a pj day and that she could wear her nightgown to her house! rex was great today, too! he played a lot on his own at gianna and kenadee's house but had a great time! he was cracking me up walking around with a little microphone. i started singing "twinkle twinkle" trying to get him to sing with me. instead he was repeating each line i sang in a fast growl. it was hilarous - he was remixing my song and making it his own rap. really wish i had it recorded!

while malloy was at school today, rex played at the gym and then we had some free time. we got to malloy's school early and took a little walk. rex was loving being free and walking around on his own. he was exploring the grass and leaves (yes, you heard that right!!! grass in february!!) he fell a bunch of times while he was walking, always catching himself with his hands. he'd stand up and say "i'm ok" and take off again. such a sweetie sometimes!!! malloy's teacher said that she had the energy of 12 children today! i have no idea why she was in a good mood - perhaps because she slept the entire night and wasn't waking herself up coughing!! she was jumping all around when i picked her up. gotta love her enthusiasm!

forgot to add this one yesterday. while malloy was at school, rex and i went for a walk b/c it was 54 degrees outside! he was a bit big for the wrap but we made it work and mommy sure got a work out!

we had a morning of fun at Leaps N' Bounce!

we had a fun morning with friends at leaps n' bounce. malloy was so excited, she ran in and went right for one of the big slides! i took rex over and sent him down the slide, too! it scared him and he was whiny and clingy most of the time we were there! he did enjoy being in the bounce houses, as long as i was right there with him. both kids fell asleep as soon as they hit their pillows! unfortunately, they were shorter naps than usual! we went to the gym in the afternoon. the kids had a great time. they missed going - we haven't gone in a week since they've both had pretty nasty colds!
