rex learned how to do a somersault!! he was insisting that he couldn't do it and FINALLY did it!!! yahoo!!! way to go bud! 

 kids stayed home sick on friday from school. they had a stomach bug thursday night so we stayed home to play it safe and not spread our germs. malloy missed her school field trip to the pumpkin farm. she was bummed but handled it well! instead we went to the walk in because she had an ear infection! it was a lounge around day after that!

malloy did some painting on her sick day. she painted this jack-o-lantern all on her own!! i love it!!

colombus day visit to buffalo

we went to buffalo and stayed with the wolfangers for columbus day weekend! they kids played all friday night. malloy didn't sleep much on friday night and was just not herself. i took her to the dr (since we still have our pediatrician there!) and she had rhinitis and non-allergic reaction to dust - we got some meds and they worked immediately! we went to wegmans to get the medicine and malloy got some food while we waited. she took a few bites and then threw up all over herself and into her food container. she had too many boogers in her belly and felt much better afterward. it was just unfortunate timing! a very kind employee saw what was happening, quickly called for a clean-up and gave malloy a free shirt so that she could clean up. we love wegmans!! 

 we had a low key day for the rest of saturday. sunday, we went to the harborcenter fall festival. it was all free and we had a blast! bounce houses, mascots, rides, pumpkin patches, and games! such a fun and HOT afternoon!! no one had naps, so the kids played in the hot tub and then went to bed!

monday morning, i packed up our stuff and we went out to breakfast with all of our pals! it was good to see everyone! then we headed back home and went to bed early!

first half of october

we had a fun time at the apple festival at the beginning of october! it was a bit rainy but we didn't let that stop us! malloy LOVED watching the blacksmith and had to stay and watch what he was making for quite a while. we got to hammer nails into logs and use other old tools. we did pumpkin painting, candle making, rex made a wreath and malloy made a corn husk doll. we got some candy apples to go and enjoyed them later by candle light from the candles made at the festival, so fun!

 we went over and helped roro and papa decorate for halloween. the kids had a blast. they ended up jumping in the leaves that papa was raking. we had a nice dinner afterwards. so nice to be back and able to visit more often!!

this happens often in the mornings. someone gets up too early and lays next to me quietly playing games so he doesn't wake anyone, especially his sister, up! 

 it was picture day! i took advantage of the beautiful fall scenery, nice weather, and well dressed children and did a mini photo shoot. i'm quite pleased with the outcome!!! this was a day where we were crying one minute, angry the next, giggling after that, and back to scowling! love my munchkins!

 malloy is reading all the time now! she will sit and sound out the words she doesn't know. she can be so patient when she wants to be!!
