i co-oped in rex's class today. it was the first time that i saw him very friendly and interactive with a lot of his classmates. it was cool. at one point, at circle time when they're not supposed to be chatting with friends, rex turned to his friend, libby, and asked "do i even look like rex?" (because his hair was flat and not spiked) and she replies "no but you sound like rex". they're hilarious! 

 they were talking about doctors and nurses today at school.

it was a fun morning. rex did not nap despite the fact that he was in his bed for an hour and a half, and was a MESS in the afternoon. crying whining MESS! he was a sobbing blubbering puddle when we took malloy to gymnastics. when we got inside malloy asked me, "don't you have anything to calm him down?" gotta love her! he calmed down pretty quickly and was fine after that, but MAN, it was a little hairy for a while!!!!

rex can't stand being cold and it has been so COLD! he cries literally EVERY TIME we go outside and get in the van he is a wreck. it makes going anywhere very stressful for me!! is it spring yet???!!!!!!

february 24 and 25

 we spent tuesday at leaps n' bounce after malloy got out of school. the kids had a blast and we stayed for a looooooooooong time! malloy was passed out at bedtime while she was waiting for neal to come and say goodnight to her. tired peanut!

february break continued

we made some slime to keep us busy for quite some time on one of our vacation days. it was a huge hit!!

it was a heat wave of about 45 so we went out to finally build a snowman! they immediately named him olaf (from frozen) and inspired a whole frozen reenactment! malloy played elsa and was singing at the top of her lungs. rex was anna and played with olaf :) of course we had to come in and have some hot cocoa after being outside!

wednesday night we headed to newark valley to spend a long weekend with family!

we were visiting roro and papa on thursday morning. malloy was sitting in the living room with her notebook and came into the kitchen saying "look roro!" she had written "i love you roro" how cute is she!!!!

thursday afternoon, malloy and rex got to meet their second cousins, molly and maddie, from seattle. molly is 12 and maddie is 9 - they LOVED the girls. as soon as they left malloy said "i miss the girls already!" 

 friday morning we went to mcdonald's with grandma val and grandpa don. the kids had a great time in the play place - once rex got over his fear of it!! he was sobbing in the tunnels because he was afraid of the bridge and the slide. malloy was a great big sister and patiently helped him out so he could calm down!

 saturday morning we went to visit grandpa bruce, grandma diane, and aunt april. the kids were good and had fun playing. then it was off to lunch at grandma val and grandpa don's. they had a special surprise for them after lunch - dinosaur eggs! they were made of hard sand and needed to be cracked open. they used tools to crack the egg, dust it off and dig out the little bones! malloy loved loved this! she loves archaeology and paleontology! definitely my science kiddo!

 saturday night, we went to a party at aunt mary and uncle gary's house. the kids were counting down the minutes until they could see molly and maddie again!!!! they had a blast playing with them and bella!! it was very sad to say goodbye!
