november nonsense!

tuesday 11/5: no school for mallloy today. we had a fun morning at the science museum and then a trip to wendy's for some jr. frosties! 

rex drew this snail. malloy was sitting next to him and she looked over and said "wow! it really looks like a snail, buddy! that's fantastic!" he's really into drawing right now!!!

wednesday 11/6: both kids went to school. the farm came to visit rex's school. he got to see and pet some animals: a llama, chicken, duck, bunny, cow, donkey. his favorite was the bunny. malloy had gymnastics in the afternoon - she's loving it!!!! she's doing handstands at home and actually staying up in the air for a few seconds! 

thursday 11/7:

rex fell and hit his head on the corner of the coffee table. he never stops moving!!!! this one hurt a LOT!! ouch!! 

friday 11/8:  i co-oped in rex's class this morning. they are a wild bunch!!! but rex was so happy that i was there, so it was all worth it! we skipped naps and had a lazy afternoon reading books, watching a few shows, and then we had to run some errands. while we were at the back it started to SNOW!!! the kids were jumping up and down yelling, SO excited about the snow! we went to michael's so i could get some yarn and they used their dollars from their halloween cards they got from grandma tappy and grandpa gary and each bought a small toy! they were so excited! malloy picked a hello kitty velvet coloring page and rex picked a toy iguana. they were overjoyed to pick out a toy!!!

 saturday 11/9: malloy had a pretty bad cold so we all had a morning in our pjs. after naptime, we went to toys r us to pick out a toy because the kids filled up their 'be kind and listen'charts again! they've never been in toys r us and they went nuts!!!! it was nice to get some ideas for christmas and they were so good about picking out something for around $6 - which was daddy's rule. malloy kept asking "what's the number on this one?" meaning: how much is it? they really are pretty well behaved! malloy picked out a purse that she could color and rex got some superhero squad guys!

bonus! they got to go on a little ride! 

 sunday 11/10:  we had a day at home full of dress up, playing super heroes, baking, snacking, and playing with make-up!

 sunday,october 27th: 

we made some mummies!

rex tried a sour warhead - he did ok with it for a bit then had to spit it out!

tuesday 10/29: we had a fun halloween playdate at gianna and kenadee's after malloy got out of school! the kids had a great time!!

wednesday 10/30: rex had his halloween party at school today! after naps, malloy had gymnastics. when we came home, grandma val and uncle paddy were waiting for us!! so fun!!! we had some delicious roma's pizza that grandma brought for us for dinner - yum!!!!

thursday, october 31: happy halloween! malloy had her halloween parade at school today. grandma, rex and i went to see her. rex LOVED the parade - there were so many superheros, ninjas, and skeletons! malloy was adorable in her princess dress, holding it up and parading around! when she got home from school, we went to IHOP for some free scary face pancakes and ended up being filmed for the local news! then we went to play at mcdonalds play place for a bit and the kids managed to get a happy meal from grandma val! it was a tiring morning so it was naptime!!! grandma said goodbye and headed home to beat the crazy winds that were coming! we had a nice visit!!

after dinner, we got our costumes on and went trick or treating! it was rainy but we dealt with it and had fun anyway!! the kids had SO much fun trick or treating and even more fun handing out candy! they were yelling out the window "COME AND GET YOUR CANDY! HOW WANTS CANDY?!" crazy kids! :)

friday, november 1: we continued our halloween celebration at our friends' ben and max's house! the kids picked different costumes! malloy was a ballerina and rex was hulk. they had fun playing with friends and snacking on some yummy treats!

saturday, november 2: we made pancakes and waffle sticks for breakfast - YUM! malloy and i went to gianna's 5th birthday party while rex and neal had a guys day. we had an early movie night - monsters university! - and went to bed!

flashback!!! neal used to hold malloy like this all the time when she was tiny. he tried it again this weekend. she's HUGE!!!!! where has the time gone??!! 

sunday, november 3: lazy day! kids were up at 5am because of the time change. neal got up with them and kept them occupied for a bit! 

malloy LOVES to make her bed and clean her room - it's great!

monday, november 4: it was a very chilly morning but at least it was bright!!!

i watched emery for a bit today - she got to take rex to school with me and then played with malloy when she came home!
